Loneliness, mental health, and violence.

Studies show a decrease in violence and crime directly related to an increase in meditation throughout communities. We aim to raise awareness by doing this on a globally visible scale right here in our city of Columbus. There are complexities to the therapeutic and healing benefits of a sound bath, but one of the most accessible things is that they provide an easy access point into deep meditation.

Sound baths help calm your nervous system by providing a relaxing and safe environment. This has been proven to lower cortisol levels, lower the heart rate, and lower blood pressure. It also provides a space where the mind can process the unprocessed, discard the unnecessary, and enjoy the present.

These issues have given birth to a loneliness epidemic. Loneliness is more than just a strain on the heart, the physical consequences can be devastating, including a 29% increased risk of heart disease; a 32% increased risk of stroke; and a 50% increased risk of developing dementia for older adults.

hOm has become the most successful wellness series in Central, Ohio. Our events have been a consistent place for people to gather, meet, and connect in deep ways. It has been an honor for us to create a place that feels safe enough to foster the creation of strong communities and we wish to continue to do so.

The World’s Largest Sound Bath will be composed and performed by Jesse Cale of hOm alongside a wide range of musicians and sound practitioners from around the world. Jesse is an award-winning music producer, composer, and poet from right here in Columbus. He has created instrumental compositions for brands like Disney, Google, NASA, and Redbull.
